Robert L. "Bob" Pasquale

Robert L. “Bob” Pasquale, devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died Sunday, April 10, 2022 at his home in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, in the company of his loving wife of 70 years. Bob was born in Springfield on June 16, 1931 to Phyllis M. (Albano) Pasquale and Louis J. Pasquale. He resided in Springfield until he married the love of his life, Lorraine Lorette Sabourin of Holyoke, on October 13,1951. Shortly thereafter, Bob joined the United States Air Force serving as an aircraft engine mechanic at Bolling AFB during the Korean War. He serviced President Truman’s C-118 Liftmaster, nicknamed the Sacred Cow. Following the war, Bob returned to his birth state where he worked as a carpenter; until he retired from the New England Carpenters Union in 1993. Bob lived out the entirety of his life in the home that he built for his family with his own two hands. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, daughters Cheryl Cummings, Cynthia Topitzer, and Laurie-Ann Walas, three sons-in-law, seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his sister Linda Pieciak, 2 nephews, and a niece. He was a kind and quiet man who enjoyed the company of his family, fishing, boating, camping, circuses, wildlife, the ocean, and a good dessert. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 am on Wednesday, April 20 at Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation, 220 North Main St. East Longmeadow, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 1900 Allen St., Springfield . Burial with military honors will take place in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA. 01104.
