Barbara and family,
We were married in Prince Rupert at the Cathedral in December 1980 and Dean Patterson was very wise and helpful. We lived across the street from you on 4th Ave. W in the white house. My husband was the hospital administrator there.
I have been out visiting my mother in Ontario and went to church with her today. The notice about Dean Paterson was in the bulletin. I just wanted to express my condolences and tell you that over the years I have thought about your husband many times with much gratitude. May the Lord fill you with His comfort and peace.

Dear Barbara & family,
Sending my love, sympathy and prayers to you all. Gary was a big part of Gerry's & my life, and our children's & grandchildren's, while we were at All Saints in Regina. He was a true man of God. Have missed his playing the harmonica at the services & his wit, inteligence & inspiring sermons. Love & prayers, Carol Alexander.

Dean Paterson was an important figure in my childhood. I am grateful for the gift of his kindness, humour, patience and willingness to include me in both his congregation and family. My heartfelt condolences to the Paterson family.

Gary was a dear friend whose wit and laughter often filled the squash court as we played many squash games together over the years (and who can forget his usual manner of banging his racquet on the back wall to intimidate his opponent). Enjoyed his unique sense of humour and description of his and Barb's many travels to museums and cathedrals in Europe.
He will be truly missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of Gary's death. He was a good mentor for me as I was discerning to be a priest. I remember with joy the years at All Saints. I also remember Barbara's strong voice for feminism and justice. I will always remember his wisdom and humour. We're All Saints!
