Robert RIKLEY Obituary
December 8, 1952 – June 8, 2015
It is with profound sadness and immeasurable love that the family of Robert announces his passing on June 8, 2015 at the age of 62.
He will be lovingly remembered by his common-law wife, Maureen Symmes, his daughter Sydney Rikley-Hubick, his brother Ron (Maxine), sisters Marlie Finn (Mickey), Winnie Wyborn and many special relatives and friends. Robert was predeceased by his parents Allan and Anne.
Robert was born in New Westminster, B.C. He had a career in construction and he was an avid sports fan, debater of politics, lover of the arts and the West Coast where he spent the first 35 years of his life.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place at the Westlawn Funeral Home and a private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grey Nuns Palliative Care Unit or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. P. Amigo, the nurses and staff in unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital and Dr. T. Ranieri for the care and compassion shown to Robert.
