He was the son of the late Edmund and Helen Sperock Rowlands. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Rowlands, in 2012; a sister, Rose Walsh; and brother, Edmund Rowlands.

He enjoyed the many projects and work days at the club with "the guys," as well as hunting and fishing. He was also an avid trap shooter. Bob made me feel very welcome at the Dream Mile. He was an inspiration to me with his humor, energy, and knowledge. As a pastor he always called be "padre". I will miss him and hopefully keep his spirit alive at the Dream Mile. Prayers of peace to his family.
