I am just hearing this sad news while attempting to search for family members. I am Bobbies second cousin. I am the granddaughter of Rocco Scavello. Uncle Bobs brother. I remember Robbie when I was young. My grandparents would take me and my brother to see Aunt Joyce and Uncle Bob in I believe it was Belmont Hills. Robbie is some years older than I am. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband. My deepest condolences.

While I knew Robbie had passed away from Aunt Dee and Aunt Peggy, I had no knowledge of this site. I had been searching information on my brother Frank, who recently passed away. Since our family wasn't as close as it could have been, I really didn't know Robbie well, except when we were much younger, when we spent time in Belmont Hills, at Grand pop's house, for Sunday dinners. I miss those get togethers.

I'm almost embarrassed to add a message at this late date but I just found out about your loss. Rob was one of my best friends in junior high and high school. He and I were mutual friends with Dan Algeo and Louie Verdet among others. Unlike the rest we also both went to Penn State. I remember him as full of energy and laughter and he could be silly and nonsensical in a Pythonesque fashion. I tried to look him up before the Super Bowl and found this obit. It hit me very hard. He was a real character and l considered him to be one of my best childhood friends.

For Rob's Family & Friends - I grew up with Rob, and as Villanova has made it into the late rounds of the NCAA tournament, I recalled watching Villanova win with Rob in 1985. We both attended Villanova at the time. We watched upstairs at his parents home and headed off to celebrate on the campus. I hadn't seen or spoken with Rob since that era but I always remembered our years growing up on the Hill. I was suprised and saddened to hear just recently of his passing. I am sorry for your loss. He is missed and still being thought of.

Dear Catherine,

I know this is very untimely but I just found out about Rob's passing. We were friends back in college and I was always so fond of him. He was a man of incredible wit, intelligence and spirit. Please know that I am sorry for your loss and will include you in my prayers.

Respectfully,

Dear Kate,
I called Rob a few days ago to catch up as we had not spoken in a few years. Naturally I was devastated to hear the terrible news. Rob and I were friends in high school and college and he always made it a point later in life to let me know when I was screwing up. I always appreciated his honesty and his wit. He told me about how happy he was with you and I was looking forward to meeting you. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I am sad for you and the pain you must be feeling, and also sad that the world is definitely less interesting without Rob in it.

Kate - my deepest condolences on Rob's passing. I just found out recently through a mutul friend and am truly saddened. We were good friends as kids, and although we lost touch over the years, I really enjoyed catching up with him at our 20th high school reunion a few years ago.

Dear Catherine, we met only briefly at Rob's twentieth high school reunion. A mutual friend told me today of Rob's passing. I was greatly saddened and extend to you my deepest sympathies. Rob was a good friend to me in Jr. High school, and High school. I will always remember his sharp wit and kindness. Rob kept me laughing during some tough times. He will be sorely missed. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Kate, We never met before but I am sorry for your loss. Rob and I were freinds a long time ago. And he was my best man at my wedding. We lost contact when he went to Virginia and it saddens me greatly that my hope of getting together again will never happen. He was a great guy and I will always miss him.
