Robert Seay Obituary

Robert Seay Jr. was born on December 2, 1936, in Mer Rouge to the late Robert and Elizabeth Seay.
He accepted Christ and was a committed member of Church of God Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Charles Atlas.
Robert Seay Jr. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and family member. He had a gracious and helpful heart. He always looked for ways to help his family and others. He worked for the Louisiana State Highway Department for many years.
He was preceded in death by parents, the late Robert and Elizabeth Seay; sisters, Alberta Seay, Nellie Seay Davis and Catherine Seay; brother, Matthean Seay.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife, Queen Esther Seay; Children, Sandra Kaye Jones (Alvin ) of Bastrop, Lisa Seay of Tampa, Fla., Robert Seay (Shonda) Jackson,Tenn., Felicia Seay of Bastrop, Carlos Caldwell of Monroe; Brothers, Jimmy Seay (Surleaner) of Collinston and Roy Lee Seay (Maggie) of Minneapolis, Minn.; sister, Ollie Davenport of Detroit, Mich.; grandchildren, Kalisha Seay, Dajuan Seay, Damarius Mckinley, Inecia Seay, Nekitha Brown (Derrick), Whitney Downs, Whitney Jones, and Syndey Jones; great-grandchildren, Amare Downs, Kennedi Brown, Krischelle Lane, and a host of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Special thanks to Augistine Seay and Tom Caldwell for always being there from the beginning of his illness to the end and helping taking care of him; and thanks to the "sisters" for helping out.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Tennant Funeral Home Chapel, 1423 East Madison St. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Morehouse District Baptist Educational Association Building, 8420 Collinston Rd. Repast immediately following interment at the Association Building Fellowship Hall.
