Robert Sylva Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 17, 2024.
Robert Frances Sylva (43) passed away and went home to the Lord on July 10th 2024. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his sudden death.

Bob exhibited a thirst for knowledge, always wanting to learn.

Bob gave his life to the Lord and was baptized on January 27th 2019.

He was highly active throughout his entire life, from childhood baseball and football. To lifting weights and teaching others to do the same. He was also passionate about music, fast cars, motorcycles and his family and friends.

His unique sense of humor and salesman-like attitude bordered on zany. He was never satisfied with "that's the way it's always been done". With his relentless "I win" attitude, sheer muck power, and unwavering passion, he handled the hard stuff well. You wanted him on your team - and there are many teams out there who will feel his absence.

He is survived by his son Robert James Sylva. His sister Samantha Sylva and brother Richard Ashlock.

A celebration of life will be held at Donnelly Park in Turlock Ca, on August 3rd. Starting at 11am.

In lieu of flowers please show your support to Bob's son Bobby Sylva

It has been a very long time and we have lost touch with each other. Still doesn´t make it easy that you are gone way too soon. I hope you didn´t suffer and are at peace now.

Uncle Chip Swenor
Bobby was my first nephew. He as a good boy growing up and I know he always tried his best in sports and was a stand out athlete in Baseball and Football.
I did not get to see him a lot when he was younger because I was on the east coast.
He had a challenging upbringing and had to overcome many obstacles and I know he was troubled.
I always wanted peace of mind for Bobby. I believe he has it now.
He will always hold a special place in my heart.
We all need to simply honor his memory.
With love.

I've known Bobby since we were in middle school together at Brown Elementary in Turlock by the College. He was a great guy, a awesome friend and had a big heart. I don't know what happened but I had talked to him a few months ago and he was planning on moving to Modesto he said.

Bobby was my first nephew. He was always mischievous as a child. Quite the little Irishman with red hair very cute. He & my son Dylan were quite the pair. Bobby enjoyed camping & just having fun with his family. He was a good athlete & deep down he was a very sensitive young man. I know he will have a great reunion with his family that have past away. You will be missed Little BobbyMy heart goes out to all of his family & mineWith Love Aunt Karen
