Roberta Susan Hayes

Roberta Hayes passed away peacefully on January 20 after a short bout with cancer and blood clots. Her son Eric and good friend Alberta at her side, holding her hands.

Loving wife of Ernie Hayes, whom she now reunites with in heaven.

Formerly married to Robert Harrigan, with whom they raised two children, Eric and Alan.

She is survived by her children and their families including 8 grandchildren.

Roberta always had a positive outlook on life no matter the circumstance. She loved enjoying a beer with friends and family. Her smile was very infectious as it was always evident and usually followed with a laugh. Even when she was sick and in pain, she was optimistic and working towards getting better and back on her feet. She was very inspiring.

She was very active in her local church, helping with the AV presentations every Sunday. Her closest friends Alberta and Stephanie, were from that church and stayed close to her and helped her as much as they could. Roberta was truly blessed to have such loyal friends especially since her family was so distant.

Roberta loved animals and cared for her horse, dog and cat which all kept her company after Ernie's passing. She also loved hanging out in her yard and swimming pool.

She will be missed but her memory brings a smile. We miss her so much already!

Whenever you see a purple truck, remember that Roberta is smiling down on you.
