ROBIN LYNN ALBERT

Robin Lynn Albert, 63, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away on October 25, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1960, in Reading, PA. Robin had a unique sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around her. Her witty comments and infectious laugh were truly one of a kind. She had a heart of gold and was proud to be a YaYa to her granddaughter and loved all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Robin cherished her sister time, whether it was playing cards or running errands together. Her most treasured moments were spent at home with her wife and their dogs.

Robin is survived by her wife, Ruth E. (Spatz) Albert , with whom she shared 16 years of love including 6 1/2 years of marriage. She is also survived by her daughter, Whitney E. Deisher, and her granddaughter, Riley E. Deisher, both of Leesport, PA; 3 sisters, Josie E. Ward, wife of Kevin H. Ward of Gilbert, AZ; Deborah K. McLaughlin, wife of Kevin P. McLaughlin, also of Gilbert, AZ and Toni Lee Albert of Leesport, PA. Robin is also survived by her nephews Joe K. Weidman, Patrick R. McLaughlin, Alex M. McLaughlin, and her nieces Amy B. Ward, Julie A. Ward, and Joellen B. Ward. Additionally, she is survived by two great nephews, three great nieces, and her fur babies Lilly, Jim and Jasper. Robin was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Alice Albert, two sisters Bonnie D. Mauger and Connie Brewer, two brothers Ronnie K. Weidman and Carmen Albert, one nephew Jacob Mauger, and a cousin Anthony "JR" Natello.

Robin graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1977, where she achieved several milestones. She was the first female drummer in the marching band and the first girl to MC for the Muhl Review. She later enjoyed a fulfilling career, worked delivering for UPS until she injured herself. Then worked for Goodman Vending and Berman Freightliner with multiple responsibilities until she moved to Arizona. Robin ended her career, working for Atlas Copco, Inc. as a Service Coordinator until her retirement in November 2012.

Robin attended the former St. Thomas UCC Church in Reading, PA, and worshiped at Sun Valley Church in Gilbert, AZ.

In her free time, Robin loved spending quality time with her family. She was a skilled Pinochle player and always enjoyed a friendly competition. Robin had a passion for animals and was a previous volunteer at Animal Doctors to the Rescue. She also had a green thumb and found joy in gardening, even tending to her sister Josie's garden/flowers.

A celebration of Robin's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to St. Jude's Cancer Research or the Arizona or Reading Humane Society.
