SALEM, N.H. — Raymond W. Martineau, 68, of Salem, N.H., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008 at the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, N.H. after suffering a heart attack.
He was born in Lawrence, where he grew up and attended St. Anne's Grammar School, and graduated from Lawrence High School. He was a resident of Salem for over 40 years.
Mr. Martineau was retired from Raffi & Swanson in Wilmington, as a chemical operator. He was currently working as a parts delivery driver for Autoparts International.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed motorcycles, spending time with his family and friends, and his greatest passion was bicycle riding.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Darryl (Miller) Martineau of Salem; three sons, Paul and his wife Marie Martineau of Northport, Fla., Shawn and his wife Anne Martineau of Ohio, Scott Martineau and his fiance Tracy Lapcevic of Norwalk, Conn.; one sister, Claire and her husband Henry Claus of Methuen; one brother, Donald Martineau of Haverhill; five grandchildren, Toni Marie, Christian, Daniel, Joshua, and Aurianna; several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, N.H. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the: American Heart Association, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
