April 9, 1979 - May 5, 2014
With great sadness we announce that Robyn passed away peacefully May 5, after a most courageous 14 month struggle with breast cancer. Our amazing Robyn, wife to Kevin, mother to Duncan, daughter to Brenda and Mike McNally, sister to Jenni Frank (Rod), daughter-in-law to Lynne and Glenn Gravel, sister-in-law to Julie Smith (Robert), granddaughter to Mary Stubinski (late Gerald), aunt, niece, cousin, wise caring teacher (Bishop Smith Catholic High School, Pembroke) and loving friend to many. on Friday May 9, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8.00 p.m. Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 10, at Our Lady of Lourdes, 280 Lourdesview Dr., Pembroke, Reception to follow the Service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a trust fund established for Duncan's education (can donate at any TD bank to account number #3281 614 8403) or a donation to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation (http://ohfoundation.ca) to honour their warm and professional care of Robyn during her stay at the Ottawa Campus in ICU and 5East. Brenda, you may not remember me but Robyn was in elementary school with my daughter, Kristina Haakman, when we lived in Katimavik. I only today heard of this sad news and wish to express my condolenscences. I feel for you as no parent should have to experience the loss of a child. My prayers are with you during this very difficult time.
