Roderick Vargas Obituary
Roderick Vargas was reunited in heaven with the love of his life, Kitty, on June 13, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Rodrigo and Maria Ester Vargas. Our father proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, pursued a career in civil engineering, and holds a U.S. patent for a survey instrument. Rod soon married his sweetheart, Kitty, and moved to California to raise a family with love, laughter, and good times camping on Baja beaches. He was a kind hearted man, a history buff, and many great conversations were had around the family dinner table. His greatest joy was being a proud grandfather, encouraging the love of art, travel and education. Survived by his loving children, Arthur, Sandy, Roderick, Veronica and Osvaldo Murillo, his cherished grandchildren, Eric, Catherine, and William Murillo, siblings, Beatrice Prado, Alejandro Vargas. Preceded in death by Rogelio, Rudolfo, and Maria Vargas. Funeral mass and memorial for Roderick and Catherine Vargas will be held July 19th at 11:00 am, St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz Road, San Antonio, Texas.
