Rodney (Rod) Lynn Erickson

On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Rodney (Rod) Lynn Erickson, husband of Suzanne Erickson, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away. Not a day will go by that he won't be missed.

Rod brought to our world a unique combination of seeming contradictions: Wry, sardonic wit and a warm, open heart. Razor-sharp smarts and an honest sense of wonder. Quiet reserve and boundless love. Rod was both an introvert and a crowd favorite, quick with a joke and a smile, master of the wicked one-liner. He was a generous human, fiercely loyal and ever-committed to the betterment of his family, reliable and steadfast. But first and foremost, he was an adoring and affectionate husband, partner, and friend to Suzanne-his favorite person in the world-whom he loved without end, out loud and unabashedly.

Rod was an accomplished IT guru and successful business owner. He was a patient teacher, and a quiet leader whom people chose to follow. Originally from Missouri, he lived in Powell, Ohio and in Anna Maria Island, Florida. He loved to play golf, especially at Muirfield Village Country Club.

Rod is preceded in death by his father, Frank, and his mother, Jane and his brother, Michael. He is survived by his four children, Kale Erickson, Kris Erickson (Barbara), Stacy Seago, Doug Mougey (Ketki), nine grandchildren, Cameron Erickson, Kaia Erickson, Cade Erickson, Claire Erickson, Shelby Erickson, Tanner Seago (Andrea), Cate Edwards (Chris), Sharda Mougey, Maya Mougey, and great granddaughter Isla Grace Edwards.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held for Rod on Sunday, August 20th, 2023 1-4pm at 4663 Oakland Ridge Dr Powell, Ohio 43065.
