Roger Dale Durbin
LEADINGTON – Roger Durbin, 66, of Farmington, passed away peacefully, January 4, 2023, surrounded by all who loved him. He was born January 17, 1956, in Ironton, to the late Lloyd and Janice (Rogers) Durbin. Roger was a member of The Bridge Community Church in Leadington. He spent most of his life traveling all over the country to sing gospel music and was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mid America Gospel Music Association. Roger enjoyed many things, such as Kentucky Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, star watching through his telescope, but most of all, watching his grandkid's sports and encouraging others to walk in faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Beth Standley.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Tammy Durbin; children, Andrea Pirtle and husband Rick, Rachel Inman and husband Micah, Ben Durbin and wife Becky, Seth Durbin and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Trevor, Taylor, Cassie and Jonas Pirtle, Nolan, Evan and Peyton Inman, Brylee, Halle, Erin and Cora Durbin, Addelynn, Ella, Lydia and Vivian Durbin; nephew, Isaac Standley; brother in-law, Richard Standley and wife Barbara; several other family members and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at The Bridge Community Church – 301 Lore Lane in Leadington, Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 3 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. Pastor Rick Pirtle will be officiating. As a youth mysell back then, I knew Lloyd, Janice, Roger and Beth. They were all amazing people. Their love for the Lord was unrelenting. My thoughts and prayers are with the family..
