Roger Dale Otto, Boise, Idaho passed away on April 8, 2024. Raised in Jamestown, ND, he was the son of Dave and Martha Otto. Following graduation in 1950 he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict, stationed in Japan. After his honorable discharge he continued his education at Jamestown College. He married Jeannie Gaier from Cleveland, ND and shortly after they settled in Boise, Idaho. He began his career with Boise Cascade when it was a local business before becoming a worldwide company.

Roger was an avid golfer holding the record for under par score at the Jamestown Country Club for many years.

He is survived by his wife Jeannie, son Jim (Sheryl), daughters Kelli Darrough, Karri (Rob) Rowe, Karissa (Paul) Peterson, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Olsvig and Nadine (Larry) Readel, both of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Karron Otto and brother-in-law Russell Olsvig.

Services and burial were held April 11, 2024 in Boise.

Reaching out to Jeannie, Jim, Kelli, Karri and Karissa and your families with our love and concern at this sad time in the loss of this special man, your loving husband, Dad, Papa and my adored brother. We are so blessed to have had his love and our treasure trove of memories to carry us through this sad time, the loss of this man of integrity, kindness, and good heart. How much we all loved him.
