Roger E. Sutton

Roger E. Sutton, 90, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 with family by his side. Roger was born in Rockford on July 8, 1928; he was the son of Elmer C. and Neva E. (Difford) Sutton. Roger married Lois F. Burke on August 23, 1947. Roger was a member of Northeast Christian Church and was very active in the former Lincoln Park Church of Christ. Roger loved to fish and was a big supporter of all animal organizations. He loved coin and stamp collecting, the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Roger liked naming all his cars, he was very particular about how his lawn looked and he loved his country.
Roger is survived by his wife of 71 years, Lois; son Mike (Maureen) Sutton, daughter Mary Kay (Jay) Haskell, son Rick (Lori) Sutton; son-in-law Rick Lindstrom; grandchildren Dan (Kayla) Sutton, Todd (Sarah) Sutton, Kyle Lindstrom, Nicola Weldon, Amy Williams, Kimberly Gardner, Janelle Gardner, Ali Peterson, Spencer Sutton, Dan (Danielle) Haskell, RaeAnne Haskell, Sheila ( Merrill) Mihm, Mike (Lisa) Lindstrom and Sherry (Trudane) Peterson; great-grandchildren Jack, Mitchell, Drew, Danielle, Nathan, Arran, Oliver, Anthony, Lexie, Aurora, Loralei, Tatum, Brooklyn, Jack, Kaite, Maycee, Mikayla, Trudane, Addy, CJ, Matt, Shelly Ann, Chloe, Colter and Luke; great-great-grandchildren Jaiden, Lilly and Ethan.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathleen Ann Lindstrom, grandson Nathan Lindstrom, sister and brother-in-law Marion and Pete Morgan.
