Ronald Roy Gould, age 83 of Carrollton, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 10, 1933 in Durant, Oklahoma to Fred and Nima Louise (Copenhaver) Gould. Ronald married Mildred Clem in June of 1955 in Sherman, Texas. He worked as a machinist for Pitts Industries for 27 years and Moztek for 12 years before his retirement, and he was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Carrollton for 59 years. Ronald loved to go fishing, shopping at flea markets for antiques, and watching any western, but especially those starring John Wayne.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Gould; one daughter, Brenda Robbins; one son, Ricky Gould and wife, Stacy; seven grandchildren, Jory Beratto, Jeff Beratto, Jeremy Beratto, Shane Gould, Royce Lynn Arnold II, Lee Ann Hodge, and Lisa Puckett; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Fred and Geneva Gould; his mother, Nima Copenhaver; one daughter, Phyllis Ann Gould; and two brothers, Max Harrison and Duane Gould.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, Texas with Pastor Mark Dallalio officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Friday September 1, 2017 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, Texas 75069.
Melissa Cemetery is located on Melissa Road approximately 1.5 miles west of Melissa between State Hwy 5 and US Hwy 75.

One thing we will miss about Ronald was his hearty laugh and he laughed a lot. We were blessed to have Ron and Mildred in our life for over fifty years and Ron will be missed.
