HEY COUSIN RON,
We didn't hang out much through the years, not because of any lack of respect or caring but more because we were clearing out our own seperate paths thru the underbrush of this world. You were always in my thoughts and prayers.

To Ron's family........please accept my deepest sympathies. I met Ron at the dances, and it was a great pleasure to have known him for 2 years. He was truely a gentleman, friend, and great "protector" of us women. He was a wonderful dancer and never complained when his knee hurt. I will miss his warm smile and hugs. We will ALL miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.....sincerely, Pam Henry

My first remembrence of Ron was sitting at my table at one of my first dances. He heard Gloria start and grabbed my hand and said,"I have to dance to this!" Years later still I have no idea what he was doing or how many dancers we would mow down, but I did my best to follow his lead and had a blast! I can never hear "Gloria" and not think of Ron. Wherever he is now he is definitely dancing! Thanks for the dance Ron. I miss you.

My sorrow for your loss is shared by many. Ron was a gentleman: devoted & loyal to his family, country, friends,& God. Memories: trying to find him in the fog because the tide was coming in while he was ocean fishing from the rocks @ Popham Beach,Maine; camping on the Natchaug River--the Great Blue Heron gliding over the river in welcome; getting soaked in the rain & playing cribbage in the van, motor running until our clothes were dry; the elegant camping canopy decor & table setting; his pride in culinary arts @ home & camping; making my first birthday cake from scratch for him as a surprise--not as pretty as his cakes, but had his favorite ingredients and was delicious--Mike, Allison & friends from CSI were there @ the Belvedere; @ dances, Ron careening around the floor with only the bravest of partners to "Gloria" (Laura Branigan 1980s disco version;) his patience teaching me to bowl. Thank you to cousin Paula for bringing Ron to The Continental Room a week after his 2005 birthday, where we met. He is dancing with the stars now.

My condolences go out to the Gurge family. I knew Ron for many years at CSI and enjoyed his individuality and kindness. I remember when he first started dancing, he was so excited he demonstrated his moves for us in the driveway. He was a true gentleman, and will never be forgotten.

I would like to extend my sympathy to Ron's Family. I met your father at the Contacts dances and chatted with him often. He was a very friendly person who enjoyed himself watching a concert on a summer's evening outside in Hamden or dancing the night away. He was part of our group and we will miss him.

I am very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I worked with Ron at CSI for many years. He always came into my office to talk about cooking, fishing, and more recent, dancing. He was a great guy with a huge heart....he will be missed by all who knew him.

Gurge Family:
We are sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your dad coming over our house when I was young. He used to do a trick with his thumb (it looked like he would pull it off) and I thought he was magic. My dad sends his prayers but he is in the hospital and cannot come to pay his respects. May God comfort you all.

My deepest condolences to the Gurge family. I'll always remember our fishing days. Sincerely, Louise Holtz

To The Gurge Family,

I worked with your father starting in the late 80's at (CHHI)/CSI. Your Dad was always so kind and pleasant to be around. He was always ready to share in an easy conversation. In addition to being a good friend to many of us, including me, he was a pure soul. Your Dad would not hurt a fly (unless it was on the end of a fishing pole!). He was happy with the simple things in life. He helped me to take stock and just enjoy all the little things. Your Dad was a good, good man.

In sympathy,

Sherry Albert
