Rosalie Rose Arnes

Arnes (Baksa), Rosalie "Rose Burton Age 77, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Entombment immediately following the Mass in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Catholic Charities of Flint, in Rose's memory. Rose was born in Flint, MI on February 25, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Bodnar) Baksa. She married Wilfred J. "Jim" Arnes on September 17, 1960 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Flint, MI. Rose was a former member of St. Joseph Hungarian Catholic Church, a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a current member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Rose enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking and knitting. She was the designated chauffeur for her children and many of the neighborhood children involved in Holy Rosary Athletics. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jim; 5 children, Joseph (Peggy), Brian (Tamara), Thomas (Anne), Brad (Cheryl) and Jennifer Arnes; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, Joseph Baksa, Mary Chalut, George Baksa and Robert Baksa; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by sister, Priscilla "Pat" Clor.
