Rose Aurelio Obituary

Rose Genevieve Aurelio

Rose G. (Verbal) Aurelio, 93, of Braintree, Ma. passed away peacefully on February 27,2025 at the John Scott House Nursing Center, Braintree Ma; where she received the utmost care and comfort possible.

Devoted wife of the late Louis J. Aurelio. Loving mother to her seven children; Gail, Louise, Jeffrey, Richard, Louis Jr., Janine and Laurie and doting grandmother to her 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who lovingly called her " Grandma, Gram, Nonna, or Big Grandma" according to the traditions of each branch of her adoring family tree.

Mom spent her retired years from the iconic "Bargain Center" store in Quincy, Ma.; where she and her late sister Betty were the "right hand ladies" running the day to day operations for twenty years; and relaxing according to the season at Wessagusset Beach in Weymouth, Ma.; the town in which each of her seven children were raised, or cuddled in her recliner as the winter winds blew outside her window, big screen TV with no sound on, showing some romantic movie, while she avidly read at a minimum two books/day (her favorites being; Amish life stories) and only would put down the page turner to take in the news of the day in the early evenings. It has also been noted by all of her extended family of her displeasure concerning the current situations dominating the news media.

Rose was determined to see the birth of her most recent great grandchild before passing but having the will, did not enable her to withstand the rapid decline of her physical strength.

Mom will be missed by all of her adoring family; as will be our trips together to her hometown in Provincetown Ma. and our weekend excursions along the beautiful coastline of her New England home.
