Rose, your sudden departure left us shocked, heartbroken and in darkness. Never had the time to say goodbye. The young and the old loved you as you knew how to make them laugh and happy. We will always remember how much you loved your extended family, here in US and in Kenya. Forever we’ll miss and remember you for your kindness, generosity, fashion and beauty. No one could be more fashionable and yet cook as good as you could. You never settled for good but for the best. May your soul rest in peace.

Dearest Rose,
On your last birthday I made you a special cake. Being the Diva that you are, you gave me specific instructions on how you wanted your next birthday cake, stacked with fresh flowers....We didn't make it to May, so I made your cake for you at your final resting place, just as ordered. This is my gift for you. I learned much from you and will always keep you in my heart.

My dearest Rose. It was truly an honor to share my daughter, Elisa, with you. She always considered you her other Mom. We have all lost a truly, classy LADY. The world was, indeed, a better place with you in it. May God be with you always and may all those (many) who loved you find peace in knowing that you are with our heavenly Father now and he is so proud of you.

Rose ... it is not surprising from what we are reading in the orbituaries that you were indeed the warm and charming person we spoke to and laughed heartily with on phone! It is a pity that God's plans did not include our meeting physically. May He rest your soul in eternal peace. Eliud,Ruth and the boys.Nairobi.

It was not the length of your life but the depth of your life that made such a difference in so many peoples lives, that made a profound difference in my life. You loved with no boundaries and never hesitated to express how much you did through your words and actions. You recognized the gifts of the people you interacted with amazing insight and used your wisdom & charisma to encourage us to see beyond our limitations.Loosing you is like loosing a piece deep within me that will never be filled by any one else. I take comfort because I know you are now in a perfect place and in Gods timing I will join you with hugs and kisses.I will always be your Kavumbu.
