Rose Pena Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 6, 2024.
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Angela Pena, known affectionately as Angela, who departed this world on the 23rd of April, 2024, in the city of Hanford, California. Born on the 14th of March, 1982, in San Francisco, California, Angela graced this earth for 42 years with her presence, leaving a profound impact on all who were fortunate to cross her path.

Angela was cherished for her gentle spirit, her boundless kindness, and the warmth that she extended to both friends and strangers alike. A woman of faith, she found solace and inspiration in the Word, with the Book of Psalm holding a special place in her heart. Her artistic soul found expression through the melodies she sang, the verses she penned, and the songs she composed, enriching the lives of those around her.

A proud mother to her two beloved daughters, Anaya Alvarez and Jaylynn Cerna, that a mother's nurturing love will forever be their guiding light, that is a continual testament to the love she bestowed upon them throughout her life.

Angela was preceded by her esteemed parents, Dave and Rose Cowperthwaite; her mother-in-law, Carol Davis; her sister, Chere Del Castillo; and her brothers, Ric Alvarez Jr, James (Greg) Alvarez Sr., Joey Payumo, Michael Cowperthwaite, and Gilbert Cowperthwaite.

The family cordially invites those wishing to pay their respects to join them for visitation on the 14th and 15th of May, from noon until 6:00 PM, with a prayer service scheduled for 4:00 PM, and on the 16th of May, from noon until 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will ensue from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a reception from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 650 Bugeia Lane, Novato, California, 94945.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests that donations be made in Angela's memory to a fund established at https://gofund.me/545763bc. The services will be handled by Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Novato, California.

Rose Angela Pena, though absent in body, will eternally be remembered with love and admiration. Her legacy endures through the countless lives she uplifted, and she will continue to be celebrated in the stories and memories shared by those who knew and loved her. Jesus Christ, her King welcomes her home, all of heaven and the angels rejoices at her Homecoming.

My dear Friend Rose,
Words cant describe how beautiful you are inside and out. Meeting you was a turning point in my life. Your love, laughter, energy and unwavering support have been a constant source of strength in both good times and bad.
We formed a bond that helped us navigate the unknown in life´s adventures with laughter and resilience. We did everything together, you had my back and I had yours in any situation. You are a solid one of a kind of friend I could count on. You are my rock, my confidante, and my partner in crime.
Your selflessness, love, kindness, generosity while living together and helping me with my children, have left an indelible mark on my heart. You embody the true spirit of friendship, and I am humbled and grateful to call you my friend. You will be missed dearly. I will forever cherish our friendship and the memories we shared.
Forever your friend, Sophia

Angela,

You´ll forever be remembered as my favorite, your presence brought joy and warmth to my life. You had this innate kindness and smile that illuminated the darkest days. You made me feel like I was the only one in the room. I remember being so happy around you; smiling ear to ear.

Though the world feels dimmer without you, I find solace in the belief that you now rest in a brighter place.

Memories of your compassion and love will forever reside in my heart. Until we meet again, sister, may you find eternal peace.

With love,
Your youngest brother,
Joey
