We just found out about Rosa's tragic accident while reading an article about Attawapiskat in December's Canadian Geographic. We are so sorry to hear of your devastating loss. Should you come to Ottawa, you would be most welcome to visit with us.

Rose was a really passionate, and caring person. I have met her when her husband, Brian Thorton , came to Attawapiskat. They are the nicest people I have ever met. May she now fly high, with my good friend Shannen Koostachin. There is never a day, I wouldn't forget you. Rest In paradise. And Brian, I am so sorry about your loss. Take great care, and we're here if you need support.

I am sad to hear about your loss. Although I only met Rose once, from the many photos and stories you & Rose sent, I felt that I knew her much better. She had such a positive outlook on life and I could see what a happy couple you were together. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

The staff at HPS were saddened by the news - such a beautiful person taken too early. We will continue to think of her and how her personality radiated when she entered our building and every other school she was in. As my secretary at Kerns there was never a day go by that she didn't have a smile and some wonderful tidbit to share with others. We will all miss her and will think of you and your family often.
