Ross Reynolds Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 8, 2022.

Ross Stuart Reynolds our beloved son, brother and uncle went to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, September 30, 2022.

Ross was born in Houston, Tx on May 25, 1956 to Corder S. Reynolds and Elizabeth (Jimmie) McMurry Reynolds. After moving to Shreveport, La he graduated from Byrd High School, attended Texas A&M University and earned a degree in Professional Aviation from LA Tech. He then went on to earn his Masters of Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1980 and became a Certified Public Accountant. He lived for several years in the Hammond/Ponchatoula area and even though moving eventually to Texas, part of his heart stayed in that area. Ross loved to fly; whether it be a single engine or a glider. He was a lifelong member of the NRA and the Treasurer for the Texas Gun Collectors Association.

He leaves to remember him with love until we meet again in heaven, his mother Elizabeth McDonald, sister Martha Reynolds Chance (Danny), brother David Corder Reynolds (Peggy), two daughters Rachel and Lauren Reynolds as well as two nieces, Caroline Chance Colvert (Michael) and Katherine Reynolds and a nephew David Chance (Sarah). He will be dearly missed.

I have known Ross, David and Elizabeth since the sons were quite young and living on Atkins in Shreveport. I consider his Mother Elizabeth one of my closest friends. My wife Kathey and I are so sorry to hear of his untimely death.

I have been trying to find the right words to express how saddened I was to learn of the passing of Ross and I still can't find them. My heart is broken but I do know I'll see him again one day, which gives me peace. These past few days I have talked with others that knew him and we all shared fond memories we had together when he was in the Hammond/Ponchatoula area. Ross was loved by many. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace Ross.

Ross was the Treasurer and valued contributor to the Texas Gun Collectors Association for several years. He was generous with his time volunteering to support the club. He was an avid collector and good friend. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Ross.

We are so sorry for this loss. Ross was very smart, funny, and adventuresome. The world is a less interesting place without him. Much love from David, Peggy, and Katie
