ROXANNE "FOXY ROXY"
Age 59, of Hill District, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2014. Daughter of the late Henry and Edith Carpenter; mother of Candice, Sonya, Adama Carpenter, and late Celina Carpenter; sister of Jonathan E. Carpenter, Delia Harvey, Henry Carpenter, Jr., Ruth Sims, Lannie Saunders, and the late James Saunders and Gloria Holyfield; also survived by ten grandchildren, one great- grandson, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 12 p.m. in the SAMUEL J. JONES FUNERAL HOME, 2644 Wylie Ave., Pgh., PA 15219, with visitation two hours prior to service from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m.

I had the pleasure of working with Roxie for several years at The Day School. We always had fun working together and shared lots of laughs. She was a good aide and always made sure the students were happy and safe. I will miss her big smile and the twinkle in her eyes when we shared a joke. I am so happy that I had the chance to meet her and have her be a part of my life. I know her family is going to miss her in the years ahead. She is someone that I will never forget.
