Mr. Roy B. Denson, age 74, of Locust Grove, GA passed away August 13, 2015. Roy was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Mary Katherine Sanders Denson and Roy B. Denson. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gene Denson and sisters, Mary Ann Heath and Jenny McCulley. Roy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sports, and NASCAR. He was an avid Georgia Tech fan and was a certified football referee. Survivors are his son, Ben Denson of Locust Grove; stepson, Melvin Cowart of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Shanda Whitton and SrA Micah Denson; great grandchildren, Christina Ray, Elizabeth Whitton and Alissa Whitton; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation for Roy Denson will be on Sunday, August 16, 2015, 3 – 5:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Monday, August 17, 2015 – 2:00 pm in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor David O’steen officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Mausoleum at 3:30 PM.
