Ruby Ellen England Longtime Visalia resident, Ruby Ellen England, 89, of Exeter, California passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Exeter, California surrounded by her loving family. Ruby was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on August 21, 1924 to Dewey and Grace Ashford. At the age of seven, Ruby came to Visalia with her family. She married Louis (Dig) England in February of 1941. To this union was born five children - Verlin, Rhonda, Marlene, Clorinda, and Teddy. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Dig and sons, Verlin and Teddy and grandson, Joey Clayton. Ruby is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Luna (Russell), Marlene Howerton (Bob) and Clorinda Clayton (Richard); 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, brothers, sister, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, California. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Visalia District Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow at the Evangelical Free Church, 1305 W. Main Street in Visalia, CA. Tributes and condolences may be made at www.millerchapel.com. Arrangements entrusted to Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291 (559) 732-8371.

So sorry I was not able to attend the funeral. My sickness came back somewhat from the weekend. My heart was there with the family, tho. Your mom was always so sweet to me, I loved her very much. My prayers to all the family. Love you all.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Ruby England, I know her passing will leave a place that can not be filled. We spent the night in the front yard in 1983, they had a family reunion and several spent the night in their RV's in the yard.

Clorinda,Marlene and Ronda Im so sorry to here that your mother has passed on. Marlene the last time we talked Ted had passed. you all were like family growing up. lots of good times. Such fond memories of Ruby & Dig. Nice big Sunday dinner.Then Dig taking us out to milk the cow's.(LOL) it was fun .I was 9 or 10 yrs. Old Where does the time go.Couple of yrs. Ago I'm giving Ruby a ride home from church.Such a sweet lady .Will miss you sweet cousin.You are with the angels now.RIP. Love ,Linda de Clercq.
