Rudolph Floyd Obituary
Rudolph was preceded in death by his mother Bertha Lee Floyd, and brothers James Floyd, Melvin Floyd, and Zack Dempsey. He is survived by his sisters, Angel Ann Braswell and Pauline "Peaches" Thomas; son Rudolph "Rudy" (Alisha) Floyd Jr; daughter Amanda (Blake) Lindsey; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Rudolph was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. He served as a Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps for four years, followed by serving in the Reserves. As a Marine, he had to be neat and organized, which he carried with him the rest of his life. Rudolph was known for high standards of neatness, personal appearance, and keeping things orderly. He was able to travel to Japan while in the Marines and he was also able to travel much of the United States during his time as a truck driver. Rudolph enjoyed cooking, fishing, drawing, caring for dogs, and helping others as much as he could. His proudest achievement was being "Pops" to Rudy and "Daddy" to Amanda.
