Rudy P. Dushkin Jr.

Rudy P Dushkin Jr., 53, passed away in King Cove, AK on July 6, 2014. A service will be held at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 1pm. Father John Zabinko will officiate. Rudy will be laid to rest at the King Cove Cemetery in King Cove, Alaska. Rudy was born on November 18, 1960 to Rudy Sr. and Exenia Dushkin in Belkofski, AK. He worked as a fisherman since childhood and loved the sea. Rudy spent many years working for his good friend Ted of the F/V Island Trader. He was always very helpful, he walked a lot and would stop by to see if anyone needed help with anything. His family wrote: "Rudy was a free spirit who's unforgettable laugh would light up the room. His smile will be missed by all of his family and friends. He was a loyal friend to many. He was happy no matter what the circumstances." Rudy is survived by his father Rudy Dushkin Sr.; sisters Linda (Edward) and Jane (Glen Jr.) Mack and Betti (Alberto) Malagon; brother Ray (Bonnie) and Paul (Marlene) Dushkin; nieces Desirae (Henry) Roehl, Carolyn and Cherilyn Dushkin, Leann Mack, Nadezda Dewey, Exenia Malagon and Glennora Dushkin; nephews Calvin Mack Jr., Emil Dushkin, Charles Mack, Ray Dushkin Jr., Michael Trumble, Terence Mack, Tyler Trumble and Mitchell Dushkin; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Exenia Dushkin (1990) and his grandparents. Arrangements are with Janssen Funeral Homes.
