Russell E. Ackroyd, 74 CARLSBAD -- Russell E. Ackroyd, 74, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008. He was born on July 18, 1933, in Los Angeles. Losing a father is never easy. It hardly seems like 8 years since my dad passed away! I think of him all the time. Betsy was lucky to have 2 loving parents for so long and I'm sure the memories of her dad will carry her through the good times and bad! Sm

Our condolances to the family of Russ Ackroyd. We remember the warm, caring man who always had time to listen. Russ was a good friend. Hard working and dependable, Russ understood that family comes first. I value his lesson. A wonderful man with gentle manner - they do not come any finer.
