Russ was born in Richfield, Michigan on November 11, 1938, the son of the late Willard and Helen Frank.
He was a graduate of Grand Blanc High School, Class of 1957 where he also played football. He loved telling everyone all the time about growing up in Grand Blanc, his time in school, all the classmates, teachers, towns people. Russell was all-county in football and played football with Bob Suci who I think was all-state, went on to play at MSU and played professional football.
Some of his stories were even part of an article the high school paper did for the GB school 100 year anniversary last year.
Russ served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1961.
Russ married Pat Dooley on November 29, 1958.
He worked at General Motors for 42 years. He was a member of F.I.S.H. of Grand Blanc and Big Brothers and Sisters.
Surviving is his wife, Pat;
three children, Kathy (Mike) O’Neill, Steve (Yvonne) Frank, Dan (Julia) Frank;
ten grandchildren, Michael, Jeff, Jeremy (Emily), Katie, Nathan, Abby, Stephanie, Alexander, Natalie, and Megan;
brother, Ron (Judy) Frank and four nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hurley Medical Center.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of knowing Russ since 1996 when my family and I became his next door neighbors. He was always a cheerful person and a great neighbor. My deepest condolences to Pat and the rest of the family.

My husband,Tom Galloway , had many great memories of Russ including playing football with him on the Grand Blanc High School undefeated football team. Russ and Pat Dooley Frank married after high school and had many wonderful years together as man and wife. Russ and Pat were classmates of ours in the 1957 class. Sending sympathy to the family.
