Russell McCracken Obituary
Arden - Russell Kagan McCracken, age 18, of Arden, NC passed away Monday, March 3, 2014.
He was a native of Buncombe County, NC and the son of Elliott and Angela Kilpatrick McCracken of Arden, NC. Kagan loved the beach, music, camping, spending time with his friends and family. His favorite hobby was skate boarding.
He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Clyde and Pauline Burrell Nations, Fred and Blanche Fox Kilpatrick and Joy Anderson and Nita Elliott.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Ashley McCracken of Boone, NC; his maternal grandparents, Jim (Pat) and Lou Jean Nations Kilpatrick of Murphy, NC and paternal grandfather, George Neal McCracken of Arden, NC and step-grandfather, Marvin Anderson of Brunswick, GA; great-grandfather, Wade Elliott of Asheville; his aunt, Terri Jo Perry of Florida; and several cousins, great Aunts and great Uncles.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. Bradley Lisk will officiate. Burial will be in the Ranger United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Kilpatrick, Rickie Kilpatrick, Kevin Kilpatrick, Mike Keenum, David Chastain and Rick McKinney.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, NC.

Kagan, you were such a smart and sweet kid. One of my favorite pictures I have ever taken was of you doing a cartwheel on the beach last year. I hope you are at peace now baby boy.
