To Paul and Jan and Family -
We were so saddened to hear of dear Ruth Barrett's passing - we saw her only a couple of weeks ago at St. John's Church in Barrington - still with her wonderful sense of humor - we will cherish our wonderful memories of her - such a sweet lady. Our love to you all - Bob and Audrey Sprague

Paul, Jan and family -
Ruth had such a joy in life! She was a gift to all who knew her and had an open and loving heart. She took joy in the small things in life and always kept her humor, right to the end. Even her CNA commented on how hard she worked to regain her independence and kept the staff laughing through it all. The pain will be there as you feel the loss of this gracious lady, but try to hold onto all the beautiful moments you shared on her long journey.
Love and prayers, Ann-Marie and Jack

My grandparents lived across the street from the Covells and Barretts. My aunts were friendly with Ruth and worked with her when she was in the Assessor's office in Barrington. She was a pleaure to work with and usually added some humor to life. God bless her soul.

I am Gordon Stenning a retired Episcopal priest. I take services each month at Aquidneck Place. Your Mother was always faithful and always a joy. We talked about St. John's, Ownings Stone, her brother, etc.
My wife and I will miss her as she always added so much to the services.

From the time I first met Ruth in 1959, she has always made me feel like I was a member of the Barrett family. It is a memory that I will forever cherish.

One of the many pleasures of my time as Interim Rector of St. John's Church in Barrington was getting to know Ruth. She was a wonderful person. She provided a connection for me to my mom and dad whom she had known as neighbors in Barrington before I was even born. I am sorry that I will be out of state as of Thursday and cannot attend her funeral service but she will be in my prayers.
