Bass Bass, Ruth C., 86, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2007 in Boynton Beach, FL. She is survived by Jack, her husband of 65 years; daughter, Adrian Bass (Steve) of Charlotte, MI; son, Ronald Bass (Tracy) of Ashland, OR; granddaughters, Brittney Bass (Jacob) of Ashland, OR; and Carley Spangler (Dave) of Portland,OR; great-granddaughter, Jadyn Bass-Gouge; and great-grandson, Andrew Jordan Spangler. Her brother, Howard (Elaine), passed away several years ago. Ruth was born in New York City, but spent 47 years in Arlington, VA. She was a long-time member of Temple Beth El in Alexandria, VA and was active in Hadassah. Ruth volunteered at the Smithsonian Institute, and various other organizations in the Washington, DC area. She was a fashion model and artist throughout her life. She graduated with an associates degree in Art History from Northern Virginia Community College.
