Ruth Ann (Heald) Dobbs, of Indianola, died Monday, June 22, 2020 at her residence.
Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Bishop Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2020 at North Mt. Homa Church officiated by Rev. Rick Kerns. Burial will follow at Ulan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Dobbs, Shane Dobbs, Zach Lewis, Hayden Lewis, and Erik Dahl.
Ruth was born to Arthur and Isabelle (Benson) Heald on February 22, 1952 in Greeley, Colorado. She graduated from Adams County High School in Commerce City, Colorado.
She married Roger Rankin Dobbs on October 30, 1970 in Petersburg, Virginia.
She drove a school bus when her children were in school, and worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for nursing homes and at McAlester Regional Health Center in the Rehabilitation Therapy Department. After her husband’s retirement, they moved from Keenesburg, Colorado to Indianola where she has resided for the past 20 years.
Ruth attended North Mt. Homa Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and sewing.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Isabelle Heald, husband: Roger Rankin Dobbs on September 19, 2019, grandson: Jaxson Dahl, brother: Jim Heald, and a sister: Mary Heald.
She is survived by her sons: Shannon Dobbs and wife, Rachel of Oklahoma City, Shane Dobbs of Indianola; daughter: Monica Dahl and husband, Erik; grandchildren: Lukas Dahl, Peyton Dahl, and Eric Potter, all of Greeley, Colorado, Zach Lewis of Oklahoma City, Hayden Lewis of McAlester, Madalyn Lewis and Zoe Lewis, both of Oklahoma City, Cambria Lewis of McAlester; brother: John Heald and wife, Peggy of Westminster, Colorado; sister-in-law: Jayne Heald of Indianola; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Dear Shane ,Shannon and Monica.
Im so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom my cousin Ruth. I spent a few hours with John and Lisa yesterday. I pray you will look to Jesus for comfort and peace that only the Lord can give us.
I know Ruth will be greatly missed by all of you and your family.
