Ruth Ann Martinson, 49, of Gillette died Monday, March 26, 2012. Ruth Ann was born on June 7, 1962, in Beach, North Dakota to Barbara (Ross) and the late Clifford Harchenko. She grew up in Montana and graduated from Fergus High School in Lewistown, Mont., in 1980. She married her High School sweetheart on June 27, 1981. From that union they had three daughters. Ruth attended nursing school at Sheridan College and graduated in 1992. She worked for Dr. Beck for 15 years and finished her nursing career at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital walk-in-clinic. Ruth had an extraordinary love for her family. She was a very devoted and loving Nan to her grandchildren. You would always see her holding one of her grandchildren and rock-a-bying them. Her five grandchildren were the light of her life. Ruth was a best friend to each and every one of her daughters. Everyone will remember her by her smile and the twinkle in her eye. Her smile will live on through her three daughters and grandchildren. Ruth enjoyed being outdoors, being at the lake, fishing, and water skiing. She took her career as a nurse very seriously and her caring and compassion was seen and felt by many. Ruth is survived by her three daughters: Jaime Pfeifle, Stephanie (Jake) Bath and Kimberlie Martinson, all of Gillette, Wyoming; her five grandchildren: Peiytyn, Nathan, Tyler, Sawyer and Brooks; her mother, Barbara Harchenko of Lewistown, Montana; brother, Paul (Chris) Harchenko of Lewistown, Montana; two nieces and a nephew from Montana. A memorial fund has been established at First Interstate Bank in Ruth Martinson's name. Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or condolences via the internet at www.gillettememorialchapel.com.
