Ryan Hugh Campbell, 34, of McKinney, Texas passed away in Plano, Texas on the afternoon of April 10th. Ryan was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 7, 1980 and attended school there until he moved with his family to Austin, Texas at the age of 14. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1999. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he served as a Senior Airman responsible for communications engineering. Ryan then attended DeVry University from which he graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering. In 2010, Shawn Hiller introduced him to Lindsay, the woman with whom he would share the rest of his life. He was employed by AAVA, a custom electronics and software design engineering company in Plano, Texas. Survivors include his wife and the love of his life, Lindsay Campbell, his parents Jeff & Debbie Campbell of Austin, Texas, his sister Anna and her husband Lee Meyer of Sneads Ferry, NC, his mother-in-law Elizabeth Dukes of Kingwood, TX, his father-in-law Cary Dukes and wife Josephine of Gladewater, TX, his grandparents Francis & Shirley Campbell of Eureka, KS and Gene & Priscilla Irwin of The Villages, FL. Aunts and Uncles, Bonnie & Joe Williams of Topeka, KS, Nancy & Jay McKenzie of Eureka, KS, Lynn Irwin of Denver, CO, Janet & Dan Tahir of Parker, CO, his wife's grandparents Joseph & Gloria Pipak of Longview, TX His wife's aunts and uncles Joey and Lisa Pipak, May Pipak, Daniel and Lynn Pipak, and Julie Pipak, his brothers and sisters-in-law Cary Paul Dukes, Jr., Rhett Dukes and his wife Joie, Derek Dukes and his wife Melisa, Anna Henry and her husband Ryan, and Ashley Dukes, Sarah Grahm and her husband Hayden, Jason Pierce and his wife Melody, and Jacob Dukes. His nieces and nephews, Rhett, Dakota, Jude, Helena, Andrew, Isabel, Jack, and Campbell. He is also leaving behind many cousins, nieces and nephews, a special group of co-workers and numerous friends. And not to mention his special tour guide, Kathleen McKenzie of Eureka. Ryan was passionate, funny, incredibly brilliant (genius to be exact), kind, generous, and loving. There are none among us who could hug as lovingly or completely as Ryan. He enjoyed tinkering with anything that could be taken apart, and he equally enjoyed putting it back to together better than he found it. There was no problem too complex that his innovative and brilliant mind could not solve. Ryan was an avid inventor and RC helicopter pilot. He loved sailing, swimming, the outdoors, eating pizza and candy to excess, and making himself and those around him laugh, but especially himself. Ryan and Lindsay's family motto is: "To thine ownself, be funny." He has been a gift and a light in the dark to everyone he met, especially his wife, his parents, his sister and all of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed and deeply loved eternally. A service will be held at the Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, TX at 3pm on Wednesday April 15, a rosary will proceed at 2:30. A graveside service will be held in Eureka, Kansas at the Greenwood Cemetery on Friday April 17th at 2:00pm. Services in Eureka are provided by the Koup Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Ryan's name has been established with The Fisher House, a charity that supports service members families in times of difficulty. Lindsay, I am grieving with you and your family at the loss. In life, we find ourselves quite often without an apparent reason for many tragedies, pain and sorrows. But we must take special comfort and place faith and complete trust in a loving God that one day will sort this entirely out for us. This is such a time. I will remember to keep you in my prayers and ask that God comforts you and grants you peace beyond all comprehension. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Thomas Moore

Lindsay, I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I can't even begin to imagine how you are hurting. Know that you have plenty of family to be there for you. Thoughts and prayers from friends and family will be of huge comfort to you during this difficult time in your life. I am so sorry that we were unable to attend the service and be there for you. Everyone had to work. Know that we will be saying a little prayer for you and thinking about you today. Lean on your family and God for comfort.

Love,
