Ryan Lemus Obituary
Ryan was born July 23, 1992 to Gustavo Lemus and Maria Elena (Nena) Michel in Woodland California. He was the second of three sons; preceded by Andrew and followed by Alex. He attended K-12 grades in Woodland, graduating from Pioneer High School, Class of 2010.
During his spare time, Ryan loved the outdoors - he was an avid hiker and enjoyed taking backpacking trips. His great sense of humor led him to aspire to be a standup comedian. Ryan's love of music began at a very young age taking up the guitar, electric drum set and most recently the ukulele, in which led him to appreciate different genres of music including punk, and pop punk. He enjoyed attending various concerts with Bottle Rock being one of his favorites. He was also a big fan of UFC, with his favorite fighters being from team Alpha Male. His best friend Pumbaa, the spunky Pug/Chihuahua mix, provided him unconditional love and companionship.
Ryan was employed by Esparto Unified School District, as a Paraprofessional Educator, where he worked with middle school aged students enrolled in the special education program. Ryan was instrumental in providing each of his students with support. He was extremely passionate about his role and took extreme pride in his students' academic progression. He took great satisfaction in the special bond he was able to build with each of his students and often had funny stories to share.
Ryan will be most remembered for being a loving son, a caring brother, a beloved nephew and cousin, and a devoted friend. He is survived by grandparents, Francisca and Julian Lopez of Dixon, Joaquin Michel of Winters, Guadalupe Lemus of Dixon, and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
A viewing for Ryan will be held at Kraft Bros. Funeral Home, 175 Second Street, Woodland, on January 14, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., St. Martin's Catholic Church, 25633 Grafton St., Esparto CA. A reception to follow at the Madison Town Hall, Madison CA.
A Memorial Fund has been established to honor Ryan at Yolo Federal Credit Union. Donations to the Ryan Lemus Memorial Fund may be made by writing a check payable to: Ryan Anthony Lemus Memorial Fund: Account # 85151.

The hurt in the past few weeks has been immense. The pain unimaginable. The memories a plenty. The love surrounding Ryan, his family, and friends boundless. With the tears are accompanied by smiles because that's how Ryan entered a room and left you feeling; happy, laughing, and loved. It's going to take a very long time for this wound to heal, but the scar left behind on our hearts will always be the memories and a reminder of a beautiful soul we were blessed to know and love. I have so many memories of you since you were a Toddler. You were Esteban's first friend and even though life took you both in different directions, there was always a special bond you two had. You were patient and great with Alec when he came along and Alec really looked up to you. We have so many special memories over the years of our Friendship, with you and Esteban doing First Communion together and the celebration both families shared that day, as well as so many birthdays, holidays, graduations and just so many great times. My heart is broken for the Lemus family and all of Ryans friends. He is irreplaceable, and will never be forgotten. I am so grateful I got to get close to Ryan. He always had a way to calm me, make me feel grounded, and always had a way to get me to smile or laugh. He cared so deeply about everyone.
