Sally Cohn Gold

Greenville - Sally Cohn Gold, 72, wife of Dr. Steven Gold, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was the daughter of Walter (NYC) and Doris Patla Cohn (Asheville NC). She is survived by sons, Jonathan (Julia) and Eric; grandchildren, Zev, Akiva and Moti and sister, Nancy Cohn.

Sally earned her Masters degree in social work from Boston College and founded Geriatric Resource Services (GRS) in Greenville. She was a wonderful mother of her two precious sons, Jonathan and Eric. She was President of the Greenville County Cancer Society, Gower Gardeners and Collins Creek HOA. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and traveling the world with her family and friends.

Sally fought the ravages of Progressive Multiple Sclerosis on her own terms. After twenty years, Sally died as she desired, in her own home and in the arms of her family.

Covid-19 unfortunately precludes what we would have hoped to be a large, in-person celebration of love and respect for Sally. In respect to our community's safety, there will be a private graveside service limited to immediate family members. There will also be multiple socially distanced and virtual Minyanim (Jewish Celebration of Life) announced electronically. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple of Israel, 400 Spring Forest Rd, Greenville, SC 29615.

Condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.thomasmcafee.com.
