Dear Mickey, Justin & Kristian,
I am so shocked and saddened by Sally's death. I never think of her without a smile at her perfect humor that lightened many moments. It is difficult to imagine such a strong and beautiful spirit to be gone from the world. She brought light and joy ( and a wonderful bit of sarcasm) to every occasion. Dear Mickey, Justin, Kristian, We are so sorry for the loss of your
beloved wife and mother. Sally was such a wonderful individual and
we will all remember how she could send us into gales of laughter,
creating smiles that didn't fade and making us chuckle long after.

Dear Mickey and family,
When someone special and memorable leaves this world, word travels quickly. There was never a time when Sally didn't brighten my day or make me laugh and see the lighter side of life. I know it has been many years since we all lived in Waterville but we have always had fond memories of all of you and managed to keep up through the Greenleaf's. Sally Goulet was someone with whom I worked for a number of years at Sir Guy Carleton Secondary School before she was forced to move on to Castlefrank Public School. I enjoyed her wit and spirit. I benefited from her practical command of the human experience. I respected her honour and her strength of character. A look, a smile, an unflagging willingness to see the worth in people even when they acted in ways she uncompromisingly refused to tolerate. I was awed by her capacity to stay ahead of the wave of life and even when it seemed that she would slide off the wave… she would soldier on because that was the right thing to do.
No one is perfect; but I can only imagine how being her close friend, her child, or her spouse could enrich your life; even in little ways you might not appreciate until she was gone.
I pray that her family and the many people she has touched in her rich life will find the strength to cope with this senseless and untimely loss. I know that the example set in life by Sally Goulet is where they can hope to find the inspiration to get on with it as Sally would tell them they must.
Sally will be missed and remembered fondly and with respect by colleagues and students and acquaintances. I can only imagine the loss felt by her privileged loved ones. To you I wish the strength of spirit she must have shared with you will help you through this difficult time.
