Samuel Dennis Felix

Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Samuel D. Felix went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2023. Sam was born September 24, 1973 in Fort Yukon to Lilly Henry and Douglas Felix. Sam was then adopted to a very loving mother, Axinia Felix, who raised him with lots of love. Sam and baby Dawn were Axinia's lifelong precious babies.

Sam worked many years as a seasonal firefighter, but his main job in life was taking care of his loving mother. Shannon Marie James was the first love of his life. Their proudest moment is when they welcomed their daughter Shenae Pearl Felix. They lived together for many years. Sam also grew up with childhood best friends Champ, Doug, Blue, "Adigoots" Alfred Grant III, Nick and many other numerous friends that cherished him.

Sam survived by mother Lilly "Lala" Henry; uncles Joey and Norman Henry; aunties Stephanie, Jenny, & Cecelia Henry, and Sarah Knudson; daughter Shenae (Shannon), brothers Douglas Felix & Dinjii Charlie. Sisters Dawn (Mitchell), Jolene and Selena. Uncles Donnie and Reggie, and Aunt Tina. Nephews Jordan, Donovan. Kylie, Doug Jr, Curtis, Clarence, John, Nick, Justin, David, Brian, Rikki, Nicholas, Brandon, and Justin. Nieces Ashley, Shaylynn, Brittany, Sloan and Sadie. Countless nieces, nephews, family, and friends throughout Arctic Village, Fort Yukon, Venetie, Chalkyitsik and Fairbanks.

Sam proceeded in death by his loving mother Axinia, grandparents Late Sara & Stephen Henry, brothers Bill, Gary, Roy, Spencer and Jimmy. Sisters Debbie and Delores. Nephew Brandon Henry.

Visitation will be held at St. Matthews Episcopal Church on Monday January 30th at 11 am, followed by a service. Sam will be laid to rest next to his mother Axinia at Birch Hill. Sam will be truly missed by all who cherished him. The family would like to thank everyone for their loving support to help Sam make his final journey into Heaven.
