Samuel Keith Crawford passed away peacefully with loving family by his side, on July 14, 2025, in Hamilton, Ohio, at the age of 67.

Born on June 3, 1958, in Kermit, Texas, Keith spent his early teen years traveling the world with his family. He enjoyed tormenting his baby sister Kathy relentlessly. He moved back to Houston and graduated with the Class of 1976 from South Houston High School. In 1981, he married Laura Jean (Rismondo) Crawford, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love and shared adventures.

Keith built a career in information technology, working for major companies including Exxon, Shell, and AIG in Houston, Texas. Later, he relocated his family to Fairfield Township, Ohio, where he continued his IT work with Liberty Mutual. He retired in 2016.

Keith had a wide range of interests that brought joy to his life and those around him. He was an avid bowler and a passionate fan of fantasy and science fiction. He enjoyed playing Dungeons & Dragons and EverQuest, reading westerns and epic tales, and watching movies on the big screen. His favorite pastimes also included fishing at "Redneck Paradise," taking long drives through the countryside, and spending meaningful time with his family.

Keith suffered with dementia in his final years, and was surrounded and cared for by close family which allowed him to comfortably stay in his home.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Laura Jean Crawford; daughters Kimberly Ann Crawford and Valerie Nicole Crawford; sister Kathy Thompson; sister-in-law Marilyn Claire Rismondo; brother-in-law Anthony Joseph Rismondo and his wife Gloria; nephew Andrew Michael Rismondo; and niece Ashley Jordan Rismondo.

He was preceded in death by his mother Katherine Sampson; stepfather Jerry Douglas Sampson; and sister-in-law Ellen Marie Rismondo.

Keith's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his love for adventure and family continue to inspire all who remember him.

A private memorial service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Hamilton or Alzheimer's Association.

My condolences, I´m blessed to have met Keith, He was a great person and wonderful father, We met at his daughter´s events and became friends I always enjoyed talking to Keith. I miss his sense of humor and kindness!
