Sandra Beld Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 18, 2025.
Sandra S. Beld (Carrigan), 67, of Sycamore, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025.

Sandra was born on November 8, 1957, to Keith and Marie Carrigan. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to being a wife and mother, roles she cherished deeply. She found joy in art, gardening, cooking, music, and spending time with her friends and family. She had a creative spirit and loved refurbishing and creating artful pieces, always bringing beauty into everyday life.

She is survived by her children, Charles Cihak and Theresa Beld, as well as her sisters, Diane Froeming Mayfield and Denise Leeseman. She also leaves behind many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott; her parents; and her siblings, Brian, Dennis, Pat, and Kathy.

Sandra will be remembered as a powerful force, someone who truly dedicated her life to others. She was always present - ready to listen, to comfort, and to support without judgement. To countless people, she was a steady light and embraced a maternal role well beyond her own family. Her tenacious spirit was matched only by her steadfast presence, someone others could turn to at any hour. She loved children, was the best listener, and supported everyone with encouragement and humor.

Above all, she was a devoted partner of her late husband, Scott, and a fiercely loving mother whose warmth and compassion touched all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Regale Center in Sycamore on August 24, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Her spirit will remain with us always - a cherished memory for all who loved her, and a legacy defined by love and strength.

I'm so sad! Sandi and I became friends over the years - and good ones at that. She always made me feel listened to and understood! She was (absolutely) a political soul-sister! I will miss our conversations about that and so much more. The world was a more loving and beautiful place with Sandi in it.

Sandi and I used to talk endlessly, laughing and sharing memories of Dennis. I looked forward to visiting her to look at photos. I will miss her so much.
