Sandra Carmichael

Sandra 'Sandy' Carmichael passed peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021. She was 72 years old. Sandy was a completely devoted, loving wife to her husband of 52 years, Ted, a phenomenal mother to her children, Kristi & Teddy, a sister to 10 siblings, the adoptive mother of 2 rescued furbabies, and so much more. Sandy was also a highly skilled, dedicated, & compassionate RN at West Jefferson Hospital in Marrero, La., where she spent 24 years first on the Burn Unit and then primarily in the Surgical Cardiac Unit. She was a passionate Christian & spent her retirement as an extremely active member at South Putnam Church in Crescent City, Fla. It was her wish to continue to grow their efforts, including a community medical mission & multiple youth programs she considered the true work of her heart.
