Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away peacefully, Monday November 25, 2019 at the Carriage House Rehab & Health Care Center, at the age of 82 years. The daughter of the late Russell and Harriett Hamlin was born March 24, 1937. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. Sandy retired from Bangor Junior High as the administrative secretary. She volunteered for many years at her church and the American Cancer Society. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoyed reading, gaming on her computer, exercise, walking and spending summers on Drummond Island camping & fishing with Sam on their boat “Good Times” she often loved to tell of out fishing him and all the fun that they had together.
Left behind to cherish her memories are one son and daughter-in-law; Gregory and Peggy Kimbrue; grandchildren; Hayley (her significant other, Robert McKenzie) Kimbrue, Alexandra Kimbrue, David Stanley and Kayla (Greg) Heitzig; great granddaughters, Charlotte and Hannah Heitzig; one brother and her sisters-in-law, Jim and Jan Hamlin and Kathleen Hamlin; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Edward and Kathy Kimbrue and Charlie Atkinson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P. “Sam” Kimbrue whom she married June 2, 1956 and he passed away October 15, 2015; her daughter; Pamela Kimbrue and brother, Garry Hamlin and her special friend, Carol Wilhelm.
The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with private interment in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will be present at the church on Friday to receive family and friend from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
