Sandra Lekan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2024.
Sandra Penelope Lekan (née Loesch), affectionately known as Penny, passed away on August 2, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. She was 82 years old.

Penny graduated from Parma High School and worked for many years at AT&T. After graduating from Baldwin Wallace College in 1994, she moved to Daytona Beach, FL, where she pursued a second career as a social services coordinator. She was a second mother to many and an inspiring life coach.

Penny is survived by her loving children, Thomas (John) and Laura (Jeff) Wyatt, and cherished grandchildren, Shannon, Samantha, and Jenna (Wyatt). She also leaves behind her dear siblings Vivian (Al) Stefanchik, Denise (Tom) Halenar, Kenneth, Richard (Janice), Sue Ellen (Rob) Vulpio, and Gail (Gary) Long. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Loesch, and her mother, Margaret Loesch.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Penny's life. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to St. Augustine Church Community Cupboard and Closet or the American Cancer Society.
