Moultrie, GA-Sara Giles Tanner, 92, of Moultrie died July 17, 2018 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Marston officiating.
Born October 27, 1925 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Warren Giles and Jessie Carver Giles. Mrs. Tanner retired from Colquitt Regional Medical Center as a nurse’s aid. She was formerly associated with Jones Pool Service and Weeks Auction Company.
In addition to her parents she was preceded death by her husband, Mark Tanner, Sr.
Survivors include her children Ellen Tucker, Tammy Brennan, Mark Tanner, Jr. (Lisa), Lee Tanner (Brenda); grandchildren Chris Russell (Gayle), Michael Russell (Catherine), Meg Hudgeons (Blake) and Will Tanner; greatgrandchildren Chelsea Russell, Shea Russell, Madison Russell, Brayden Russell, Landon Russell and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Moultrie YMCA, 601 26th Ave SE, Moultrie, GA 31768.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
