Sally Wheeler-Valine, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Sacramento, California, just weeks before her 82nd birthday.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, to George and Betty Wheeler, Sara grew up in a loving family and was predeceased by her parents, her sister Susan Churchman, and her brother Andy Wheeler. She spent most of her adult life in Sacramento, where she built a life centered around family, service, and community.

Sara graduated from Lincoln Law School in 1988, earning her Juris Doctorate degree. She went on to work as a Family Advocate, dedicating her career to helping others navigate life's transitions with care and compassion.

She had a deep love for the arts and served on the boards of The Camerata California Chamber Orchestra and Choir, The Race For The Arts, The Sacramento Ballet and Jerrico, Advocacy for Justice . Sally was also proud to be an active member of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), forming lifelong friendships through these organizations. She enjoyed attending jazz performances and the ballet. She was an avid bridge player, she relished the challenge and camaraderie the game brought.

Sally is survived by her siblings Ann, Jim, and Frank; her children Tamera, Michael, Tim, and Scooter; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews and their children. Her kindness, humor, and fierce dedication to family will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been her 82nd birthday-
