Sarah L. "Sally" McHugh The funeral for Sarah L. "Sally" McHugh (nee Rohrer), 98, of Evanston, will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd. (at Old Orchard Road), Skokie, to St. Mary Church, Lake Street and Oak Avenue, Evanston, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Evanston. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. She passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 10, 2007. Sally loved her religion, music, local newspapers and family birthday parties. She was the beloved wife for over 40 years of the late Paul A. McHugh; loving mother of Paul (Francine) McHugh, Therese (Jon) Walters and Gerard (Susan) McHugh; proud grandmother of Michael, Matthew, Jon (Jennifer) and Tracey Walters, Suzanne (John) Cox, Pamela (Anthony) DeMarco, Christopher and Patrick (Carey) McHugh and great-grandmother of 13; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Attn: Paulette Bannack; 1001 N. Greenwood Ave., Park Ridge, IL 60068. As a young child I will always remember Aunt Sally's warm smile and kind words. It has been a while since I have seen her but my memories are that of a kind and gentle woman.

Aunt Sally was a wonderful woman. I will always remember the great times we had as kids every time we visited the homestead on Judson Street. What a wonderful smile she always had on her face even just a couple of months ago when I last saw her. Our love to the whole family. God Bless.
