Age 94, suddenly on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Sam; loving mother of Raymond (Cheryl), Samuel (Barbara), Eugenie (Dale) Showman and the late Margie (surviving husband, John) Frola; sister of Raymond and the late Angie, Helen, Anna, Stanley, Chester, Walter, Patsie, Henry and Eugene; grandmother of Kim, Jason and Courtney Frola, Denise (Joel Whitney), Tracey (Mark Kircher), Julia (John Springford), Samuel and Nicholas Sero; great- grandmother of Maya; special grammy to Melanie; preceded in death by her special friend and roommate, Jean Beatty. Relatives and friends received 3-8 p.m. Monday in WILLIAM ECKELS FUNERAL HOME, 1923 Broadway Ave., Beechview. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pamphilus Church Tuesday 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Pamphilus Church, 1000 Tropical Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216.

We were so sorry to hear that Sarah passed. We were good friends with Jean Beatty, and talked with Sarah many times when we visited Jean.
They were so good for each other. We always worried about what would happen to the other when the first passed. It was such a blessing for both of them, and us, when they were paired up at the Home. We will miss visiting with them, but happy to know they are in a better place, together again!
